Focal Point on Sexual Exploitation
The Focal Point Programme works through the mechanisms of the NGO Group for the
Convention on the Rights of the Child to facilitate the co-ordination of global action to combat child sexual abuse,
exploitation and violence of children and youth within the framework of the Convention on
the Rights of the child and the Agenda for Action adopted by the World Congress held in
Stockholm in 1996.
UNICEF
UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to
advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs
and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.
UNICEF is guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child and
strives to establish children's rights as enduring ethical principles and international standards of behaviour towards children.
ECPAT International
ECPAT is a network of organisations and individuals
working together for the elimination of child prostitution, child pornography and trafficking of children for sexual purposes.
It seeks to encourage the world community to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free from all forms of commercial sexual exploitation.
