VIDEO: Canada Supports Global Effort to Sustain Oceans

NAIROBI – The Canadian Government has announced the commitment of $1 million to support the UN envoy for the ocean. Canada’s Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, Hon. Jonathan Wilkinson announced the donation at the Sustainable Blue Economy Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.

The fund will help conserve and achieve sustainable use of oceans, seas and marine resources. Canada plays a leading role in the international effort to shape and establish policies for marine conservation globally. Hon. Wilkinson spoke with IPS.
