			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><font color="#999999"><p class="wp-caption-text">Att.Editors: The following item is by the United Arab Emirates news agency (WAM)</p></font></p><p>By IPS Correspondents<br />ABU DHABI, Apr 8 2003 (IPS) </p><p>-The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abu Dhabi Satellite TV channel announced here today that its office in Baghdad was a target of bombardment today.<br />

At the time of the shelling, Abu Dhabi channel was telecasting a report by its correspondent in Baghdad, who was outside the office which came under bombardment.</p>
<p>He was asked to head for the channel premises in the Iraqi capital to be reassured of the condition of the staff members.</p>
<p>The correspondent of the Abu Dhabi TV channel in Washington said that he made contacts with the US Defense Department, Pentagon, as well as the Headquarters of the US forces in Qatar, and he has spoken with one of its officers Captain Stewart, who told him that the US forces are targeting key locations and that he did not understand why the office of Abu Dhabi TV channel was hit.</p>
<p>The officer had said that he will investigate the matter.</p>
