The world is suffering a severe downturn. A lot is at stake for the so-called South – especially for the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

Gains made toward achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are in danger of being reversed. IPS is following the progress of proposals to minimise impacts of the world financial and economic crisis on the most vulnerable.
