			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>By IPS Correspondents  and - -<br />TEGUCIGALPA, Feb 6 2012 (IPS) </p><p>The government of Canada has provided Honduras with 52,000 dollars to enhance the management of protected areas, through the Forest Conservation Institute (ICF). <span id="more-124727"></span> The funds will be used for state and community capacity building in forest management projects in the country&rsquo;s main protected areas, Honduran Minister of Planning Julio Raudales told Tierram&eacute;rica. </p>
<p>Honduras has a total of 107 protected areas.</p>
