- Tierramérica, the region's leading environmental news service published in some 20 Latin American newspapers, has completely renovated its website. This new design comes in response to growing demands of Internet users and includes access to Tierramérica archives. This project began in Spanish in 1995 and in 2000 became a weekly service offered in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
The Tierramérica multimedia platform encompasses a weekly podcast used by 400 radio stations in 10 Latin American countries.
Tierramérica is produced by the international news agency IPS (Inter Press Service), with sponsorship of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
