Thai University Accepts Rice as Tuition Fees

Nov 8 2016 - A private university in Thailand has decided to accept rice as payment for its tuition fees.

The authorities of Rangsit University have taken the decision in an attempt to help farmers who have been affected by the drop in prices of crops across the kingdom, reports thestartv.com.

The university is also providing free lodging in its campus in northern Bangkok for farmers from central Thailand to help them sell their rice directly to buyers.
